Smaller than the clip-on version, the Liane Pierced earring was designed to dress the lobe. Discreet yet singular, I imagined it worn solo as a nod to the asymmetry, poetic and free, that one finds in the natural world. I had this idea of an organic earring that would adorn the ear like a creeper, its gold or silver lines unfurling like precious links.
Designed to be worn horizontally, it curves gracefully at the lobe and was inspired by my observations of nature and Peter Wohlleben's, The Hidden Life of Trees.

What is vermeil? Vermeil is an alloy made of solid silver (polished here) covered with 5 microns of 18-carat yellow gold, often considered the highest quality gold. This precious metal is hallmarked to guarantee its authenticity, in accordance with customs regulations.

This author and forester explains how trees communicate with each other, helping each other through their roots and a complex underground network, over miles of separation.
Drawing from this plant universe intertwined with a spiritual dimension, Unity embodies this invisible force which unites us all despite the distance.
